From a small kopitiam dream to Sungai Buloh's most-loved cafe — this is how TNF Cafe came to be.

A Neighbourhood Corner, Done Right

In early 2019, Faridah Ismail stood in an empty shophouse in Sungai Buloh and made a decision that would change her life: she was going to open a cafe that felt nothing like a franchise but everything like home.

Growing up, Faridah's fondest memories revolved around her grandmother's kopitiam in Ipoh — the smell of freshly roasted beans, the sound of ice clinking in a tall glass of Milo, the sense that everyone who walked through the door was a friend. She wanted to recreate that feeling, but for a new generation.

TNF Cafe opened its doors on 14 March 2019 with a simple menu of six coffees and three pastries. Within three months, the queue stretched out the door. Within a year, we had to expand into the unit next door. Today, we serve over 200 cups a day and are still growing.

The name? TNF stands for "Together Nourishing Friends" — which is exactly what we have been doing from day one.

Faridah started TNF Cafe after 12 years in the F&B industry across KL and Penang. Her vision: bring big-city coffee culture to Sungai Buloh without losing its community warmth.

Hafizah Mohd — Head Barista at TNF Cafe

Hafizah Mohd

Head Barista

Hafizah has been crafting coffee for 8 years. She completed her SCA barista certification in 2022 and has trained every member of our bar team personally.

Karthini Subramaniam — Head Baker at TNF Cafe

Karthini Subramaniam

Head Baker

Trained under a French-certified pastry chef in Penang, Karthini brings classical baking precision to every croissant, muffin, and celebration cake that leaves our kitchen.

Five Years and Counting

2019

TNF Cafe opens its doors in Sungai Buloh with six coffees and a dream.

2021

We expand into the adjacent unit and introduce our now-beloved Matcha Series.

2023

Reached 4.9★ on Google Reviews and crossed 200 daily cups for the first time.

2025

Launched Private Catering services and celebrated 6 years of community coffee.
